I realized the other day, since I rarely ever look at my profile that I haven't written a journal entry in nearly over a year and a half. Wow how time flies. Since I'm away at college most of the time and lack Photoshop on my laptop I haven't been all that active. My apologies. Writing may pop up more often just a heads up. I might be able to get some stamps done before I leave in a few days but no promises. Well I hope everyone has had a happy new year (bit late, I know). Here's to 2012 and all it holds.

Today I turned 17. That's right, August 26th is my birthday. One more year and I will officially be considered an adult. O.O

In other news this week I finally got a drivers license (on Monday). I passed the first time I took it so I'm thrilled. I might get to drive to school this year instead of take the bus all the time. (I would possibly be driving my brother.) Also I will be starting school on Monday. I don't want to start. Summer went by too quick and I still have so much I want to do. Volleyball practice started Monday and hasn't been the best but I think it'll get better. I'm helping some of the new girls get skills down.

How is everybody else?

The Jonas Brothers killed one of my favorite songs. Take On Me by A-ha. It is a beautiful song that I absolutely adore. Listen Here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=_EXxMl… Then while reading the comments on one video someone mentioned the Jonas brothers did this song at dancing with the stars. SO I decided to look it up. Now I am by no means a fan of the Jonas brothers, don't understand people's obsession with them. And I must tell you it is horrible. They butchered the song and now I'm crying inside from it. Why did they have to touch it, or any 80s music. WHY? My ears are still bleeding from their rendition.

I have just noticed that this is my first Journal of 2010. That is rather lame if I say so myself. And I haven't submitted much. Sorry. I've been a bit lazy. I have one stamp that is almost complete but I'm not satisfied with it quite yet. If anybody has any ideas I'd love to hear them.

School starts at the end of the month. I don't know if I'm dreading it or not. It's hard to tell. Well it will be an interesting year to say the least. I have completed my internship. For those of you who don't know, my school requires people in a specific program to intern at a business for 150 hours during the summer. I interned at C&D Zodiac, an interior design company for airplanes. It was pretty neat. I've been done with it for a few weeks so now I'm enjoying having some free time. Though that means I get to do a few more chores such as bleaching the patio awning. It needs to be cleaned up and repainted so my mom and I are bleaching it. Let me tell you that it is tiring on the arms.

I haven't much else to say at the moment. Sorry for not updating sooner but hopefully soon.

I have been taking pics lately and they will be uploaded soon--sometime around the new year. Got a few good pics at the Huntington Library today, a number of landscapes and flowers. I may end up cropping some because of people inadvertently being in the picture. Improving my portrait abilities, using my younger brother whenever I can to practice people pictures. Getting it just right can take a while and if I aspire to be a professional photographer I'm going to need to be able to do that. (Then I can help my parents with their business more---actually taking pictures. Right now I handle the order forms at the dances and give change.)

I recently joined the MN-Volunteer Group which I am pretty excited about. I really want to help new people on DA just like you guys and others helped me.

Christmas was pretty awesome. Got some DVDs and books. A neat little (and by little I mean all of 6 inches) red car and a key chain with my name on it. A few nick nacks and a picture frame from my dog. Yes, that's right, my dog shops. HOW he gets to the store is beyond me seeing as how he can't drive. How was everybody else's Christmas?

Big News! I finished my driver ed behind the wheel course and have officially driven on a freeway. (Took the 55 to the 5 after driving of PCH. For those of you not from Cali, that is short for Pacific Coast Highway. It's this road that runs along the coast, right next to the beach for quite a ways. How long? I haven't the faintest.) SO now all I have to do is practice.

I have my first volleyball tournament on the 3rd of January and am looking forward to it.

Just thought I'd update with how everything has gone so far before the New Year is upon us.

How is EVERYBODY else doing?

So my English teacher has been piling on the projects and now I have one night to do part 1 of this major journal. I'm not sleeping tonight. And I haven't been putting this off. I've had so much homework from all but 3 of my classes (Robotics and volleyball, I don't count APUSH reading as homework).  It is really getting aggravating. I'll definitely be catching up on sleep this weekend during Thanksgiving. Can't wait for turkey. YUM!!! Decided to give my brain a quick respite from analysis.

Edit: I have officially been on deviantart for 1 Year!!! Yippee!!!
