She lay on her back in a pool of blood, limbs at odd angles, joints dislocated, brown hair crusted in blood hiding her face, her chest lacking the rising and falling that came with breath. Her clothing was simple: long grey coat that just hit her knee, a white shirt tied at the front by a small black ribbon, and loose, black pants that reached half way down her calf.
